Episode 36 - Progressive House Mix

The podcast is now TWO years old! I can't believe it's been two years since the first evilrabbit podcast was released. In that time Andy, Mark and myself have dished out 35 mixes for your audible delight.

In that time we've played soulful house, funky house, breaks, electro, trance, drum and bass...and now for the 36th instalment we bring you something that kind of falls under the Progressive House genre (with a little bit of Tech House and Electro thrown in too!). Here are this months tunes -

Pryda - Armed
Axwell - Submariner (Original Mix)
Oxia - Lost Memory
Hardsoul - Self Religion (Believe In Me) (Mark Knight Mix)
Daft Punk - Harder Better Faster Stronger (Deadmau5 Mix)
DJ Jose - Hesitate (Synchro JVA Mix)
Liquid - Sweet Harmony (Talk and Spoon Mix)
Coburn - Give Me Love (Original Mix)

Thanks again to everyone who has enjoyed listening to our podcasts over the last two years, if you have anything you'd like to say or any tracks you'd like to hear, please leave a comment here on the website.

Please remember if you like what you hear, go and buy these tracks using the links on the right hand side the web page!

A New Look!

For those of you who visit the evilrabbit website on a regular basis, the current layout will come as a bit of a shock to you.

Well, it's been over twelve months since the website was tweaked, so I thought I'd go ahead and make some drastic changes. From now on, the website will take the appearance of a blog (thanks to Blogger!) with a view to making the content a little more personal, and keeping things a bit more interesting.

The feed for the podcast will remain in the some place, so there's no need to change the way you to subscribe to the xml.

That's it for now, but I will be adding more content (links to other podcasts, mixes, etc) over the next couple of days.

Episode 35 - The Drum and Bass Mix

A new year arrives! I hope everybody enjoyed themselves on New Years Eve and didn't suffer from the 'manflu' that decided to ruin my Christmas holidays?!

Anyway, we start the year with something completely different...I've put together a drum and bass set which may upset a few of the evilrabbit regulars, but it's a genre that I've always liked listening to, so I thought I'd have a search through Beatport to see what I could find. Here's a selection of tunes that took my fancy -

Natural Born Chillers - Rock The Funky Beats (Remix)
2-Vibe, EPS - Hype The Funk (Original Mix)
Mulder - Don't Believe (Original Mix)
2-Vibe, EPS - Funkdafied (Original Mix)
Aphrodite, Mickey Finn - Bad Ass (Remix One)
Mulder - Stick Up Kid (Original Mix)
Futurebound, Matrix - American Beauty (Original Mix)
Pendulum - Slam (Original Mix)

Keep House Music Alive

This podcast is purely used as a promotional tool to make people aware of the sounds of evilrabbit (Rob Tarren and Andy Wallington) and to showcase some of the best tunes house music has to offer at the moment.

In order for the producers and remixers to carry on making the tracks you're listening to, they need you to buy their work. All the music you hear via this website is purchased through sites such as Beatport, Juno, Ministry of Sound, Track It Down and Plastic Fantastic...and it's incredibly cheap, so there's really no excuse for you not pay them a visit to get your hands some of the best dance music.

Music can be downloaded for as little as 49p per track, and certain sites offer dance albums in a mixed and unmixed format for a meagre £6.50.

Without your help, the house music scene will die a horrible death!
