Back with another electro mix for you to enjoy this month. For all the nerds out there, this is my first evilrabbit mix using my new toys! I treated myself to a Apple Macbook and Hercules RMX DJ controller just after Christmas and have been using it down at J's Vodka Bar. Thought it was about time I did a live mix to upload on the site...so here it is!

Not quite as polished as my Ableton mixes as it's recorded live, but it's not bad for my first attempt!

Evilrabbit loves electro!

For the regular listeners of the podcast, you've probably noticed that the mixes have been getting a little darker and dirtier as the months have progressed. We're still a fundamentally 'funky house' and 'breaks' style podcast, but we're always evolving the sound of evilrabbit into other genres of dance music.

Thanks to producers such as Deadmau5, Abel and Ramos, Steve Angello, Laidback Luke and Axwell, the electro sound is really taking off in a major way in 2009 and we're happy to support it whilst these guys are kicking out some quality tunes.

Website Problems

Apologies to anybody who has been trying (and failing) to access the website over he last few days. The problem arose because Lycos decided to stop all their webhosting activity and suggested that their customers move their domain names to another German company called Strato.

I did as they suggested, only to find that Strato do not allow you to change the nameservers to my filehosting company which is Bluehost. This basically rendered the website completely useless.

I have now moved my domain name service provider to 123-Reg.co.uk where they took over the evilrabbit.co.uk address and allowed me re-establish connection to my files.

Bangers & Mash - 24/7 (Saks) Friday 13th March

A quick update to let any hardhouse fans know that Rob will be playing some of his hardhouse classics at the Bangers & Mash 9th Birthday party at 24/7 in Cheltenham on Friday 13th March.

Bangers & Mash is the longest running underground hard dance night in Cheltenham and started life at Saks bar back in 2000 as a purely Hard House event. After 3 years it then move to The Well (a much loved and now missed venue) and with the move the music moved to Hard Trance and Psy Trance.

After a year in limbo Bangers is back with night running between the 2 Pigs or Saks, bringing that much needed harder edge to dance music in Cheltenham!

Other DJ's confirmed for the night are James Ellis, Ludo, Alan Yeates, Badger and Karma. It's gonna be a messy one!
